Being the go-to person is exhausting
The last time you did something just for you feels like a distant memory.
You’ve mastered keeping your frustrations, sadness, and disappointment to yourself because no one truly understands how you feel or how to support you.
Yet, you still find the motivation to work harder than everyone else and mask your true self.
There is always that feeling that you have something to prove.
You want to avoid being judged or making others uncomfortable.
Everyone thinks you have it altogether.
You’ve spent so much time fighting your battles alone and being strong for everyone else that no one even knows you’re hurting.
There’s no chance of letting them in and exposing your weaknesses.
It’s isolating, and it’s become normal to feel you’re not enough.
You’ve doubted your abilities and held yourself back for years from the genuine happiness you’ve been seeking.
You have goals, too.
It seems easier to give up, but that’s not who you are.
By not putting yourself first, you’ll block yourself from finding the loving relationship that excites you.
Finding a deeper connection with your family where you’re an equal and not the “supporter” would be such a relief.
And you know you should have the confidence to set boundaries to protect your needs.
The list could go on. But everything feels out of reach because you don’t know where to start.
And there is always that inner voice that tells you doing something for YOU is selfish – and even a bit scary.
It’s time to put yourself first.
I offer you a place where you can finally be your complete self and feel heard, understood, and valued.
We’ll take steps to prioritize your happiness and confidently set boundaries with your friends, family, and in your professional life.
You’ll discover how to be vulnerable without losing your independence and how to create a healthy, fulfilling loving relationship that enhances your life instead of taking from it.
And you’ll finally be able to erase negative self-beliefs and unconditionally love yourself while celebrating your wins.
Hey, I’m Melvin Gaddy!
The founder of GoldAura Therapy
My mission is to help black professional women find true happiness by becoming the woman they’ve always wanted to be.
I know first-hand how hard it is to be open. I used to be that person who bottled everything up, thinking no one would understand or respond in the way I needed. Maybe you’ve felt the same before, too.
It didn’t help that growing up, I was led to believe that black people, “Don’t go around telling their business” and “There’s no time to be sad; you just need to suck it up and keep moving.”
That was so wrong!
I eventually realized those beliefs weren’t serving me and opened myself to a fresh way of thinking. Once I stepped out of my comfort zone by working with the right people, it lifted an immense weight off my shoulders.
I was happier, more confident, and gained control of my thoughts and feelings. I won’t lie – it took practice and wasn’t easy, but it was worth it.
I’m here to help you THRIVE in your personal and professional life while uncovering your truest, most authentic self.
